As a Bucs fan, I want to save the kickoff return, off of utube, for a touchdown, either as my background on desktop, or screen saver.
Any help is appreciated.
Peace=)
Can I save a video clip off of utube, and use it as desktop background or scrren saver?
If you happen to be running Windows Vista Ultimate, there is something called DreamScene which lets you run a video clip as your desktop background.
If you are able to save the YouTube clip, it is going to be in Flash video format. But to use it in DreamScene, you need to convert it first either WMV or MPEG format.
You can use VLC media player to convert from Flash, I am linking to a tutorial for that below. Anyway there are several steps involved, and this will only help if you do happen to be running Vista Ultimate.
Reply:If you can have the video embedded in an HTML page and set the HTML page as wallpaper, the video will display on desktop.
How to embed this video?
1. Convert it to another format that can directly embed like Quicktime movie. Or WMV.
2. Use Flash to construct a swf file that will load this flv and embed the swf file ni HTML page.
