Thanks!!

Where can I find knitting video to download onto my computer from Utube.com?
IMO http://www.knittinghelp.com would be easier to find what you want as far as knitting videos are concerned. It is a great site!
Reply:If there are any, you would find them by typing "knitting" into the search field. I don't think you would be able to download it. You'd have to just keep going back to U-tube and playing it from there. You could bookmark it to make it easier to find. You could also try Googling "knitting video" and see if something comes up. Good luck keeping her off of Myspace.

.
Reply:The webpage is

www.youtube.com,

and search for knitting. There's a lot of stuff there.

Another very good series of videos is available from

www.videojug.com

and search for knitting on the site. Detailed instruction on forming stitches.
Reply:Try the DIY network site for the show "Knitty Gritty". They have video tutorials for various patterns, etc. DIY site has no adult content, doesn't require interacting with other individuals at all (though there is a blog and other ways to contact the "experts" if you or she had any questions), and all the content is free!

Reply:Hi, do you possibly mean youtube.com I have never heard of utube although there might be such a thing. Just try going to youtube.com Once you are there look for the text box with the search button next to it near the upper right hand corner of the screen. Type in knitting or knit and click on the search button. You will get a list with all kinds of different videos. Click on one which sounds good and watch it. Then bookmark the ones you like as favorites.

There are also a ton of different sites online which have free knitting videos you can watch. Here are some links to those which I like:

check out these fingernails, but it does show the cast on nicely:

kind of dark, but quite good at showing all the steps and telling all finger and hand positions and movements:

I have to right click on the picture and then select open in a new window to get this one to play. It shows you how to do it fast, which I don't really care to do, but you might. I like to cast on slow and make sure it is even on the bottom.
