If you are asking about how to embed a video in your own web-site, then that is a totally different subject... you'd have to learn Flash.

In either case, there is no "programming" involved.

When you copy youtube HTML code to embed onto your web pages, you see a line looking like this

You have to add %26amp;loop=1 to the end of this embed URL inside the quotes. You probably already know that to autoplay youtube, you use %26amp;autoplay=1 in the same way.

So to change this to autoplay and autoloop

Note: There are extra spaces above so that yahoo correctly displays the whole line.

Here's what you can do:

1. Go to youtube .com and choose the video you would like to post. Copy the embedded html code

2. Go to My Blog / compose new entry

3. Make sure you type something first in the compose page.

4. Click on view html on the top right handside of your compose page

5. What you have typed before appears here with some strange characters but do not delete.

6. Paste the embedded video html code which you have copied from youtube

7. As Yahoo! 360 is a bit buggy right now copy your html compose page just in case your posting doesn't show up. You can try again later and easily paste it in a new entry.

8. Click on Preview and Post

You can try keepvid.com. However, you can only download a .flv file from youtube. You will have to convert the video to .mpg, .wmv, .avi ,etc. by using SUPER erightsoft or sometihng. If you're using this Youtube Downloader: http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/

(which I suggest)

Then it should give you an option.

How this one works:

You go to youtube, find the video you want to download, and copy the URL. Paste it into the youtube downloader and click download. It should then pop-up a window (which is your folders) and then from there, you can find a place to put it. (DO NOT rename it. I'm not sure why, but whenever I rename mine, it won't save properly!).

Then switch the button from "download" to "convert." Click the "browse" button and then find that video. Then you can delete the first version (The one saved as (videotitle.flv)).

It shouldn't take long to download the youtube video (not more than 3 minutes for me ever, usually less than a minute) and to convert it's about the same.

The usual reason for that is that your internet connection cannot download the information quick enough - maybe you internet download speed has dropped for some reason - or your trying to watch a particularly highly compressed video.

If it is happening on all videos check the speed of your internet connection.

nope. the videos on youtube are .flv format and the ipod doesnt play that.

there are some supposed converters online, but none of them work and/or are spyware.

the only exception are vidoes that are hosted on google video. those have an option to download them in psp/ipod format.

Most people in the USA are now agains the war.

4. The tape has a man saying that the missionaries appear as normal tourists. I am sorry when did Iraq become a tourist sight, especially for citizens of the USA? Though I do not doubt, given this administrations alliance to the Evangelical community, there are Evangelical Missionaries in Iraq, noone in the USA is going to Iraq for a vacation.

I have no idea, have refused to watch it. I have spoken with people who were less than a few blocks from the Pentagon and WTC's when they were hit.

You must have seen a Bradley vehicle. It has a TOW missle launcher located on the turret that is a hydraulic powered box containing four missles.

It is very easy to download, plays and convert videos. (supports mpg, avi, mp3, mp4, and more).

It works very well...just google search 'zillatube'.

Reply:I use two steps, but I'm on Linux. First I save it to my hard drive as an flv file, then I convert it.

Saving it is no problem. There is a python script called youtube-dl which is apparently OS independent. I used to use that but now I've discovered DownloadHelper which is a firefox extension. As such I can guarantee it will work on Windows or the MacOS the same way it works for me.

Once I have it I use the swiss army knife of video programs for Linux. it's called Mplayer. They do have a version for Windows but to be honest since it is such a different OS even conceptually I don't know if it works the same way. Anyhow there have to be flv to wmv converters which are windows speccific out there.

As it stands now there is a two-step process. I use firefox with DownloadHelper. Then I use mencoder from the mplayer package. I've linked to the relevent pages in sources. If they are not useful at least they should give you ideas.

However, I can imagine for a 15 year old boy, this might be severely embarrassing!

It looks like another case of embarrassing dad syndrome. Dads seem to like embarrassing their kids in silly ways... often without thinking of the consequences!

Personal opinion time: I don't think putting videos of your children in the current climate is a particularly good idea, but thats me.

Have a talk with your husband and remind him that his kids have privacy which should be respected and that 15 year old boys have delicate egos ;)

What I do is download a dvd ripper program which saves the dvd you put in your computer and then you can go to a dvd editing program and edit clips of that movie, then save your finished product and load it onto youtube. I know that isn't very technical but it all depends on which programs you use and stuff. When I did it I just used picture clips from a movie but you can get regular clips too with dvd rippers. hope this helps. Good luck!

Reply:Good. I can see all the clips from interesting things that happened on TV that I hear about the day after that I would normally not get to see.

On the down side though, it really REALLY makes you notice how many STUPID people are in the world (there are some really creative ones to, but unfortunately its like a 1 to 5 ratio compared to the stupid)

It was supposed to be spontaneous, or so we were led to believe but I saw it as an orchestrated bore.

Being an avid linedancer I would love to have my favorite dances and dances I would like to learn on a dvd so I could watch them on a big screen. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to do this. I do burn CDs already.

Videos on youtube can not be converted to DVD... what you can do is go to vixy.net and put the URL of the video you want to convert to an AVI... then you can use roxio or whatever to convert it and burn it on a DVD. good luck...

step1 :You must create an account.

step2: Open the page "www.keepvid.com"

Step3: Copy the URL of the video from youtube.

Step4:paste the url on the page of keepvid.

step5:click on download.

step6:save the file as flv format.

step7:use an flv player to play the file.

Reply:Solution 1. Install the latest version of Real Player and whenever you play the video, move your cursor to the video and it will gve you the option to download the video... ;)

Solution 2. Get th link of the video from youtube and then go to kissyoutube.com and it will allow you to donload the video.. Though you would require a separate player for this video from kissyoutube.com
